A virtual meeting through video conferencing

A virtual meeting through video conferencing was organised on 04th Feb. 2021 at 11.30 a.m between Environment and Climate Change Department, Haryana and Department of Agricultural Meteorology, CCS-HAU, Hisar. The aim of the meeting was to explore the possibilities of academic-institutional bilateral partnership on climate change. Following were the main agenda points of the meeting:

1. To address climate science with region specific modelling.
2. Promotion of research and development (R&D) on climate resilient agriculture through a coordinated Extra-Mural Research Programme -Development of projects.
3. Data sharing for formulating strategies/ actions plans on Agriculture and Climate Change.
4. Institutional capacity-building on Climate Change.
5. Creation of awareness at different levels to facilitate implementation of appropriate adaptation & mitigation measures against Climate Change.

The meeting was presided by Dr. R. K. Chauhan, Joint Director on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Department, Haryana and by Dr. M.L. Khichar, Professor & Head on behalf of Department of Agricultural Meteorology, CCS-HAU, Hisar.
